I contacted VFF directly and I was instructed to return them to the point of purchase. I was hoping VFF would have this issure resolved by now - apparently not. For me the problem is the left big toe, the underside of which has totally separated from the fabric to the extent that I can now slide my finger all the way underneath it and some way under the forefoot too. Separation is also happening down the side of the toe as well and so I expect the entire toe will come free soon. Not what I'd expect for a 130 Euro shoe! I've sent pics to Vibram in Italy and awaiting a response. I don't think I'll be buying Bikilas again anyway since I think they're somewhat over-designed to make them cosmetically more appealing as an alternative to traditional road shoes.
